Put a record on. The screen starts painting it.

The TV stops being a black rectangle when the music is on.

The job

What it replaces

A screensaver That one ignores the room. This one is listening to it.
A fireplace video on a loop Nothing here loops. It is being drawn while you watch it.
A black TV with music on The room gets something to look at, and it changes with the record.
Another subscription $199, once. Nothing renews, and nothing stops working if you forget about it.

The proof

55 of the 83 scenes carry the Home tag
5 rooms and moments in this segment, each one mapped by hand
149 factory looks ship with it, before you touch a control

Which room to pick in the app

Open Luxaudica, and when it asks you the room, choose Home.

That is the whole setup. It asks 3 questions, you answer them, and it builds the rotation and runs the room. The full control surface is one shortcut away if you ever want it — how Simple works.

Scenes that fit

A few of the ones tagged for this room. Every one of them is generative — it reacts to what is actually playing, and it never repeats.

The questions this room asks

Do I have to set it up every time?
No. The first time, it asks you 3 things — which room you are in, how it should feel, and how long you want it. After that you put music on and press Start.
Will it look the same as it did last night?
No. It is drawn while you watch it, from the sound that is actually playing, so last night cannot come back. Even the same album looks different the second time.
Can I have it on while I work?
Yes, and it is one of the things people use it for. Quiet music gets a quiet picture — it follows the level in the room, so it settles down when you need it to.
Can it turn itself off when I go to bed?
Yes. Tell it how long you want when you start it. When the time is up it moves to the calmer looks, fades the picture out, and ends. If you would rather it just kept going, leave the time out.
Is it listening to my house?
No. It hears what your Mac is playing, and only that. The sound is looked at as it plays and then it is gone — unless you record the picture yourself, in which case it is in that video, on your Mac. Nothing is sent anywhere. Here is everything it does and does not send.
Is it a subscription?
No. It is $199, one time. Downloading it is free and the free version is the whole thing. A “LUXAUDICA FREE” mark on video output and exports — nothing else ever changes — and buying takes that mark off for good.

Put it on the screen and watch it for ten minutes.
